“ It's briefly stored there and released to the Kleiner Brombachsee by way of the Altmühl overpass
if the water stage is exceeded. When water is low, water will also be released from the lake again into the Altmühl,
but as a rule it's initially transported from the Altmühlsee by means
of the 8.7 km lengthy Altmühl overpass, which crosses beneath the
watershed in a tunnel over a distance of 2.7 km the Kleiner Brombachsee and from there into the
immediately adjacent Großer Brombachsee.
Source fed. Along the federal highway 466, which it crosses below twice after
leaving the forest on a north- easterly course towards the eponymousprincipal town of Markt Gnotzheim, it reaches it
